Hi, I’m Razvan

I am a web developer and a tireless seeker of knowledge and I spend my days crafting/improving websites and sometimes creating software to fulfil specific project requirements. I’m constantly learning web technologies and other related topics, currently working on a few projects that you can read more about them bellow.

The posts in the Blog section reflect my main interests: computer software/hardware, mechatronics, electronics, and most important: technology implementation in daily life, You will find there stories(+links/whatever) about my ongoing projects, my personal approach in resolving different tasks, my opinions, tricks and tips that I’ve discovered and maybe inspiration for your own projects.

What I do

I like to code things from scratch and enjoy bringing ideas to life in the browser. I also am always up to date with everything new in the field: frameworks, libraries, etc. which is useful when coding from scratch won't do it. Languages: HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript

I sometimes develop computer software, mostly when I can't find an existing solution to fulfill a specific need, when I feel like all existing solutions miss some features or when they are not very cost-efficient. Languages: C++, C#, VB.

My knowledge in the field of mechatronics and the passion for autonomous / remote controlled devices have helped me complete many interesting projects, most of them using Arduino, ESP8266 or Raspberry Pi. You can read about some of them in the blog section.

Android Apps

Have you ever looked for an app on play store, with a specific purpose and end up installing a dozen apps full of ads or subscription-based that are not even close to what you actually wanted? Me too. How hard can it be to create one yourself? Well, it ain't fun, but it's doable.

Current Projects

Is a project meant to create a better homepage for our web browsers, with more than an input box, a button, and a dumb logo but with a fully customizable user interface(direct edit CSS files using PHP - for beginning), built-in bookmarks manager (users must register before - it's easier than storing cookies and managing sessions in other ways ), email client (some open source webmail client that supports Gmail, Outlook, etc), Email server, everything encrypted, with user registration name@rccp.online, proxy search (in popup iframe) and more other features.

CMS Project

I'm trying to build a content management system that will allow me to manage multiple websites from a single dashboard. It will be PHP&MySQL based and will have constants and variables stored in PHP. Also, the CSS will be partly created in skeleton files (that will become themes) and partly in PHP variables. Why this approach? Because the only way I can think of, that will allow me to manage multiple websites from a single dashboard, requires FTP connection (with PHP), using SSH + CHMOD/User and any other way will be either too complicated to achieve in a reasonable time or will have security issues.

Will be a mechatronics related blog, that will contain articles about various subjects: electronics, mechanics, automations, etc. Article base still in development.

It will be another blog with a similar idea but with a different approach. Geeksideeas.com will be addressed to DIY enthusiasts, hobby builders and other people interested in technology news, tutorials, debunks, user test and more.
